Hey agnar, it’s hard to tell from this video. Some vibration is audible, but it’s impossible to determine what it may be.
Can you tell if it’s coming from inside the cabin (like, from the dashboard) or somewhere from the engine bay?
Also, does it vibrate only while you drive, or it does do the same if you rev the engine while parked?
Hello xcniscool.
I’ve just noticed your question. Based on what you’ve described, it is very likely that the wiring loom that goes from the A-pillar into the passenger doors is damaged. This does happen in many cars, and it is usually that only several wires get severed or damaged in the initial phases. In your case, that would be the wire powering the speaker and the other one, which sends the signal from your driver’s side window button towards the motor inside the passenger side.
Does that make sense?
Cheers,
Boki
Hello farayim
As you’ve already assumed, the DPF filter in your Audi is all clogged up. This happens as soot builds up inside and creates buildups, which more frequently affects vehicles that are often driven on short routes only. In their initial phases, it is possible to get rid of these buildups by several longer and faster drives down the motorway, or by using DFP cleaners.
However, this will not help with stubborn buildups, which you apparently have. Still, there are two things that may help.
First, you can try activating a DPF-regeneration procedure. This is only possible using a specialized diagnostic tool (VAG-COM or similar, simple code readers won’t do the trick) and will only work under certain circumstances.
Other possibility is removing the DPF from the car and sending it to a workshop that has a DPF-cleaning machine (something like this – https://dpf-revival.com/en/)
Hope that helps!
Hey kinfopack, could you clarify this a bit?
Is your engine getting too hot? At which temperature does it run in normal conditions, and on which when under loads (i.e. going uphill for a long time)? This would indicate a problem with a cooling system.
Or, is the temperature of the air getting into the engine too high? This could be a sign of a clogged intercooler.
Tnx
