Never happened before. Vehicle last driven a week ago with no signs of problem whatsoever. This morning started the vehicle, shifted into Drive but the gear indication on the dashboard still remained at Park. Moved the shifting lever down the gears and Reverse all to no effect. The lever does feel a lot looser like almost no resistance unlike the usual resistance. The gears just would not engage and probably still remain in P.

I saw your video on troubleshooting the Shift Solonoid but my Scanner does no show any error codes nor any error lights on my dashboard. Could it be something more mechanical like a cable or something that is connected to the shift lever or other?

I hope you can give me something to look into from this point. Thank you.

Hey Dan, that sure sounds like a gearshift linkage issue.

Thank you, Boki. I found the problem with the broken linkage that day itself and fixed the problem.
