Is it just the driver door or all doors that doesn’t get unlocked with the fob?

If it’s just a scratch, it’s usually no problem to use a filler and then repair the wheel. Check on youtube, there are many guides on how to do this! If it’s bent or cracked you may have to replace it though.

Is there a check engine light on? In that case it could be caused by misfires. You would also want to check the engine mounts!

Hmm sounds strange because these things are usually not related, could maybe cause the ECM to recheck the values. But check the EVAP lines and other vacuum hoses to ensure there are no leaks. I would also test a catalytic converter cleaner in the tank and diagnose the catalytic converter properly before replacing it

Yes if the fuel gauge issue started after the repair there is probably a bad connector or they installed the fuel gauge wrong. The fuel gauge sender is often installed together with the fuel pump so

The P0300 code means misfires on multiple cylinders, rather than a P0301 code, for example which means a misfire on cylinder 1. Usually, if you see the P0300 code you want to look for other trouble codes like lean mixture or P0301, for example. If there are no other codes, you have to start checking the basic stuff.

Due to the fact that P0300 involves multiple cylinder misfires and no other codes, it doesn’t have to be an ignition problem, it is more likely a fuel mixture problem. I would start looking for any vacuum leaks around the intake and then check the sensor data with a scanner to see if there is anything out of spec. You can also check the spark plug tips, if they are white it means the engine is running rich and you want to check the fuel supply also.

Here are some causes that can trigger the P0300 trouble code:

    Damaged spark plugs
    Damaged Ignition coil
    Faulty injectors
    Vacuum leak
    Malfunctioning oxygen sensor
    Burnt exhaust or intake valve
    Defective catalytic converter
    A defective throttle position sensor
    Faulty PCM
    Head gasket leak

The list is taken from this article, and you can find more about the P0300 code here: https://mechanicbase.com/trouble-code/p0300/

Hi I’m sad to hear about your story. Unfortunately in this situation, it is almost impossible to say who did wrong in this situation. It really feels like the crash was a too long time ago and if it would have been leaking or the air ducts were very bad – the problem would have shown up before.
I’m sorry to say that I can’t really contribute to anything of this when I haven’t seen the car myself. I guess your best bet is to let another workshop or your friend take a look at it to know what may have caused the situation.
If there was a leak they should have seen it at the inspection yes. If the radiator was much bent after the crash the guys who repaired the AC should have seen it. However, a radiator or often installed pretty hiddenly.

You should maybe look at getting a used engine and let another workshop give you a price of the repair, to compare! 🙂

Is the car cranking on the starter, or does nothing happens? If this is the case you can find a lot of information about it in our article 🙂 :

How long a transmission will last will depend on a lot of things. A manual transmission usually lasts the car’s lifetime if the gearbox oil is replaced due to schedule. A bad driving style can of course also drastically shorten the life of your manual transmission.

About the reliability, I need a little bit more information about the engine type, etc. However, Honda is often a quite simple but relatively reliable car, while you will most likely get more comfort in the Jetta. You need to consider that the Jetta is 5 years newer and a lot can happen in 5 years, even if it’s the same mileage.

To answer your question fully I would need to know what engine types you are looking at. I would suggest you to test drive both of the cars first because I can imagine that you will feel a big difference in them!

Hello. Did you install an OEM O2 sensor or aftermarket? Sometimes you need an OEM sensor for it to work properly. However, there are no other trouble codes? The P0133 code can also be triggered when there is something wrong with the air-fuel mixture.

Check for vacuum leaks, exhaust leaks if there are no other trouble codes!

Wrong oil typically don’t create that big of an oil leak. However, too much oil could potentially make it but is not very likely to be fair! Oil leaks are quite difficult to find and to find it, you need to clean the whole engine with a pressure washer carefully, and then start the engine and check where the oil is coming from visually!

Doubtful, I’m not 100% but that’s like more than the whole car’s value? If you like the car and it runs well it could be it for you. Not possible to find a cheaper used transmission to install?

Did you install the recommended battery with the right specifications? If everything works fine, you may just need to reset the trouble codes.

To shut it off your could pull a fuse to the electric fuel pump. I would contact Ford to see if there are any recalls for this issue!
