Unable to unlock via fob – Toyota Camry 2.0 D4D 2011

    Avensis Estate 2011 D4D 2.0. Lately, the car can only be unlocked via key whereas locking remotely via fob works fine. However, at random, the car can be unlocked remotely via fob but mostly the key needs to be physically inserted to unlock. When unlock button is pressed, clicking sound can be heard but doesn’t really unlock the car. Fob battery is good and also tried by doing the main 12v battery reset by removing the battery wires. Any ideas?

    Is it just the driver door or all doors that doesn’t get unlocked with the fob?

    All the doors. Also, it’s not just the fob, once the door is unlocked via key, the unlock button on the driver door has the same behaviour. I have noticed that once the car is driven for a while, then it starts working both via fob and via the driver door unlock button

    Just wanted to add that it doesn’t always start to work re once driven for a while.

    Finally got it working by unlocking the boot and then pressing the unlock button on the boot door few times and the unlock button on the fob few times.
