Loud Clunking Noise & Stalling – Nissan Rogue 2009

Hello all,

I heard a loud clunking/popping noise when I accelerated, somewhat aggressively, from a dead stop. Car then stalled. I pulled over, shut the car off, and started it back up again. The car has been driving fine, but I have been cautious in accelerating aggressively though, fearing it’s a transmission problem. What could this have been? I have a 2009 Nissan Rogue 160k miles. I recently had new front universal joints put in along with an oil change about a month or two ago.
