I just got it back from the mechanic who did an oil change the week before and then a catalytic converter change this week. When I was driving home, I went to turn and slowed down and the check gauges red light started blinking erratically and the oil gauges plummeted and was jumping up and down. When I turned and started driving the gauge returned to normal. This has been happening for a week now. When I go to slow down to a stop (anything under 10-15 mph) this happens but it drives just fine otherwise. Oil level is normal and there are no visible leaks. Any ideas?

There is a known problem with these cars, and it is a software problem. Call your authorized dealer and they can probably make a reflash of the ECM to prevent this issue from happening again! If not, there could be a problem with the oil pressure sensor! It does not really sound related to the work with the catalytic converter if they didn’t damage a wire or something like that!
