Top end power loss Dodge Ram 2009

    My pick up has been having issues with a significant loss of power (audible and physical changes) past 3100ish RPM. Opened up the intake and throttle control valve seems clear and unobstructed but did my best to clean it anyway. Still having the issue. Dash light for the ETCV comes on periodically. Don’t know why else it would be having trouble breathing. Doesn’t do it all the time but its still annoying.

    Since the ETCV light comes on periodically, I would check the trouble codes with a scanner if you haven’t done so yet.

    If so, any stored trouble codes? It would help if you posted them here!

    I can stop by an advanced auto to have them use their scanner but I don’t have access to one now. I was hoping it would be something mechanical I could just clean/replace.
