How do I program a new key fob when I don’t have any that work for my vehicle? I see several processes online but that involves already having one if not two, key fobs that work.
The first step should always be to refer to your car’s owner’s manual. Some manufacturers include instructions for self-programming a new key fob, even without a working one. This process might involve using specific button combinations on the in-cabin controls or the key itself.

Sometimes, certain car manufacturers allow programming a single key fob even without a working one. The process might involve leaving the key in the ignition for a specific time or following a unique button press sequence. Check your manual for any such instructions under “key fob programming” or similar terms.

No, nothing available in the manual and Ford is extremely tight-lipped about these things. (OBDII functions, orange wrench powertrain light, etc.)
I would like to obtain a copy of their, I wanna say…, IDS It’s their basically ECU, ECM, APIM module reader but all proprietary so they can attempt to control the path of repair sales. 😮💨
