Hi, kaukau. Sorry to hear about that. How many miles does your car have?

HEy Hevychevy947, it’s quite possible that the AC control unit got ‘confused’, so to say, when the battery got drained and the voltage dropped. What you can do is disconnect the battery for 5-10 minutes, as this should reset everything. Let us know if it helped 😉

Actually, watts94, I believe your car has drum brakes at the rear.

That sounds as if the transmission range sensor is faulty. Your car needs to be in Park to turn it off or pull out the key, right? Well, with a malfunctioning sensor, it won’t know whether it is in Park or not.

It should below the dashboard, on the driver’s side.

    It looks like this 👇

    OK.

Have you replaced all fuel filters?

Those in the engine bay and the one in the fuel tank (screen filter)?

Hey, just one question – how did you clean the injectors? Did you have this done by a professional? If so, did he check the spray patterns?

Does your Highlander have a rubber seal that goes all around it, or is glued to the car?

Perhaps, you can show us a photo?

In most cases, injectors being ‘coded’ only applies to diesel and direct injection engines. If I’m not mistaken, you have a ‘traditional’ engine, with injectors that spray into the intake (port injection). So, you can try swaping them out 😉

If vibrations (driving on rough roads) seem to have an effect, you might have a loose connector.

It looks like your car is going into limp mode. Now, a number of things may be causing this.

You’ll really need to start by checking for error codes using a scan tool. This will help narrow down the problem.

    Hi Mos.

What does your guide say, where should it be?

    Hi Tristan.

Do you have (or can borrow) a diagnostic tool that can access the ABS/EPB module? It’s most likely that you’ll have to re-calibrate the handbrake.
