I’ve been dealing with an electrical issue for a while, keeping an eye on it really. The symptoms I’m finding are: intermittent not starting (not even attempting at times, others it will start and then die), radio speakers do not work most of the time or will work a second after going over a bump in the road, and the rear window defroster light flashes for 20 sec and the heater/blowers will not function till the light stops and then the hvac system is operational again.
1. could these problems all be related to each other?
2. I’ve read the light flashing could mean the hvac control module, should this be my first priority to see if it resolves this or these issues?
Brand: Dodge
Model: Grand Caravan
Year: 2011Hello. Quite difficult to say without seeing the car ofc and it’s difficult to say if it’s related. It could be water in any fuse box or a damaged wiring harness. If it won’t crank sometimes, I would check for any signs of water, corrosion, or damaged wirings between the ignition, the fuse box, and the starter. Especially check for it in the fuse boxes 🙂
