    Hello, I have a 1992 Chevrolet Cheyenne C1500 with a V6 engine. It has a mileage of 323732. The truck has not been starting for a few years now. I recently replaced the starter and got a new battery for it. When I turn the ignition, I get a loud whirring noise as if the starter is connected but is just spinning and not meshing to the flywheel of the engine to start the truck. I thought it could also be that the starter is not giving enough power to start the engine. The headlights and cabin lights will work, but the truck itself will not start. Was there something else I could try? Thanks

    Hey Metropolis101, judging on the ‘loud whirring noise’ you’ve mentioned, it seems your starter is not good. Its gears don’t engage the flywheel, and it just spins freely.
