Car Forum › Repair & Maintenance › Exhaust Adapter On Inside – Ford Escape V6 3.0L 2002
The best I can come up with is this configuration:
* cat on the left, muffler on the right, two clamps in between
The rectangles represent where the clamps would go. But the clamp that connect the muffler fits inside the muffler. Can you do this? Can you clamp two adapters together? I thought the adapters were made of softer metal so two things:
1. Will the clamp be able to squish the mufflers pipe onto the adapter?
2. Will clamping one adapter onto the other result in a weak joint?
