Car Forum › Repair & Maintenance › Cooling fan fuse keeps blowing – Oldsmobile Cutlass 3.8L V6 1996
My car is a 1996 Oldsmobile 98, the “choose your car model” did not have a 98 option.
The car overheats after ~5-10 minutes of idle time, I took it to a guy I know, and while he said the problem was beyond him to fix he was able to give me some info. He says I have 2 bad sensors in my transmission that are also wired to the same fuse that the cooling fans are on. As a result, that fuse keeps blowing. He also sent me a picture to pass on, which I have included.
Would I have to replace the transmission? Is this something that’s super expensive or is the problem something more minor and cheap-ish?
