Battery fault

    Hello i own a smartfour and have recently had a new battery fitted. The car is coming up with a ‘stop message’ and a battery sign. I went to get it diagnosed at the mechanics and his reader came up with ‘Component F2K5 Started relay has a malfunction. There is a short circuit to ground or an open circuit’-

    Do you know how serious this fault is, or if can be easily fixed as I want to know this.

    Did you install the recommended battery with the right specifications? If everything works fine, you may just need to reset the trouble codes.
