Car Forum › General Discussion › Battery booster pack
I normally carry a battery booster pack in my trunk just in case my old car battery failed to start my car in cold Canadian winter. I just found out that it no longer works because it only gives 9V after charging for 2 days. I opened it up and found a sealed lead acid battery 6PS0070H. The rating of the battery is 12V 7Ah/20HR. I think I can just go buy a replacement with the same rating. But for my learning purposes. Please correct me if I am wrong. Does the 7Ah means that the battery can give 7 amp ? When I searched google for current required to start the car, the answer was much higher than 7 amp (close to 100 amp for most answers). How can a battery with a 7Ah rating start the car ?
